CNFWJ News from Q1

What a year it has been so far! CureNFwithJack has had a busy February, and even crazier March, and we are just getting started this Spring!

For those of you who attended or donated, THANK YOU for making our Inaugural St. Patrick's Day Gala in Boston a huge success. It was our most successful event ever, where we raised $346,000! We are blown away by this generosity.

In the past couple months, our co-founder and CEO Beth O'Brien has had the opportunity to meet with several members of the NF Collective, which we recently joined, as well as other parents dealing with the realities of NF. It was transformative, and a reminder of why we do what we do. Why we fight tirelessly to END NF, to improve the lives of millions.

CureNFwithJack honors the Walker Lab at Mass Brigham General

At our Inaugural Gala- we honored Dr. Jim Walker and the Lab at Mass Brigham General for their innovative work.

The Walker Lab is not simply conducting research. They are advancing discovery
in NF, with rigor, creativity, and a deep sense of purpose. Their work expands our
understanding of NF biology at the most fundamental level — asking difficult
questions, challenging assumptions, reimagining what is possible and pursuing
answers that could ultimately reshape how we approach NF.

It is the kind of work that builds the future of treatment long before headlines appear.

Their drive and dedication to this life-changing research inspires us daily. To be able to honor them, in person, and show our community the scientists behind the research we fund was an incredible experience.

The Tom Winston Award Winner: The White Family

The Tom Winston 2026 Award is given each year to an individual or family who has gone above and beyond to support CureNFwithJack, and their greater community. This year, it was given to the White Family: Brian, Joanne, Keegan, and Mady.

The White Family are genuine, kind, and selfless people who share the same values of CureNFwithJack. They fight alongside us, and do whatever they can to make a difference.

Besides coming early to help with Atlanta events, they’ve had their own Cupid’s Undie Runin Rochester, NY, and several other fundraisers raising thousands for CNFWJ .

They’ve secured new partnerships, and delivered many auction items, including many of those at the Gala. They’ve led by example year after year showing us what CNFWJ is all about.

Community Highlights

Our community showed up for us big time in the past couple of months. We gained new ambassadors and first-time donors, while long-time supporters chose to STAY with Jack.

Without Christine Burke, KC Schroder, and Diane Amerault, our Gala would not have been the success it was. For over a year, they gave their time, energy, and talent to CNFWJ, and their impact does not go unnoticed.

Every volunteer plays a role in moving this mission forward. From Boston to Atlanta, the support we feel at each event is nothing short of incredible.
